Wings of Storm

The organizers of the AirPower Show would have very much liked to invite the team already in 2005, but at that time it did not yet exist. The Krila Oluje (Wings of Storm) were only founded in August 2005, and so they are the youngest military aerobatic display team in Europe. Unofficially, however, the pilots of the Croatian team had already presented their flying skills in July 2004, on the occasion of the European Sailing Championship opening ceremony in Zadar .

Zadar is also the region where they are deployed, i.e. the Air Base of Zemunik, which serves the Croatian Air Force as a training site for future military pilots. There, pilot candidates are trained by the most experienced pilots of the Croatian Armed Forces - and these pilots are exactly the same who are forming the Krila Oluje.

With the Pilatus PC-9, the Croats fly one of the most popular military trainer planes worldwide. The display impresses by its precise maneuvers with a distance between the planes of sometimes less than 2 meters. Thus, air show visitors can already look forward to the Krila Oluje.
