We bid you welcome: a Hungarian MiG-29 and a German Dornier Do 228
The list of AirPower09 participants is growing: in addition to the packed programme of the Austrian Armed Forces and the jewels in the crown of the Flying Bulls, two highly respected visitors from Hungary and Germany have also announced their participation.
The Hungarian Air Force is to send a MiG-29 A Fulcrum to Zeltweg for a spectacular solo display. The lightweight fighter from the legendary Mikoyan design bureau is superior to many western fighters in terms of manoeuvrability and is in service with over thirty air forces.
The German Navy will be appearing at AirPower09 with a Dornier Do 228. This small twin turboprop is one of the most versatile aircraft produced by the German manufacturer and is predominantly used as a passenger and cargo transporter. In the German Navy it is part of the Pollution Control fleet, which gathers and evaluates data on marine pollution.
