Action Included

Considering the nearly 200 aircraft, there will not be much time left for AirPower09 fans to catch their breath within the two event days. But also the support programme will offer pure action, e.g. for those who get inspired by the world's best aerobatics pilots and want to fly an aircraft on their own:

Without a pilot's license and yearlong training, every AirPower09 visitor can have a seat in the cockpit of a Tornado, an F-16, a Harrier or a Bell 206 Jet Ranger and fly the most daring maneuvers - even if it's only in a material saving Venturer Flight simulator. A bid more immediate, though, can be the flight experience when you jump from a 65 m high bungee crane: here you can get the thrill of free fall for 45 Euros only, provided you've got a large portion of courage as well.

For all those who prefer to enjoy the adrenalin rush on the ground, there is a go-cart track or to the Sony Play Station hangar. The field postal office is marked by less fast activities: here, fans can purchase a series of 11 souvenir postcards and stamps. Apropos souvenirs: at the Ö3 Photo Corner, you can get a photo from yourself in an Austrian Air Force pilot suit or while performing a loop. And in the technology show, the Austrian Aerospace Industry will present you a special exhibition on the future of aviation.

Last, but not least, there is also plenty of offers for our future pilots. On the "kidsMANIA" children's playground, more than 20 play and adventure stations are waiting for the youngest visitors of AirPower09, including an inflatable children's hotel, a children's theater and a giant climbing rock.
